- The Teutonic metal masters, Accept finally headlining their first major American tour. This German band were amongst the forefathers of speed and thrash metal, although this tour was for "Metal Heart," which showed the band expanding into further regions, as showcased in the previous "Balls To The Walls." Here, Accept performed at the Civic Auditorium in San Jose, CA on Tues. May 14, 1985, with opening bands Coney Hatch (from Canada), and Rough Cutt (from L.A.), making this a multi-cultural, or multi-country tour. The band here consisted of vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, bassist Peter Baltes, drummer Stefan Kaufmann, and guitarists Wolf Hoffmann and Jörg Fischer.
