- During the 1990s, Amsterdam was one of the bands fronted by Santa Clara, CA singer/songwriter/guitarist Ronnie Borchert. Ronnie had come into fame when forming the punk/pop/hard rock band Targa in the late 1980s. Targa then became Trixie before Ronnie reworked the whole musical scheme to cash in on the 1990s grunge movement. After this trial didn't work, he eventually moved to Los Angeles to try his hand at a few other bands. Recently Ronnie had released newly recorded works under both the Trixie and Amsterdam monikkers, and is currently on tour with his latest band, Miss Crazy.
These photos are from the Valentine's Day show on February 14, 1992, at the One Step Beyond in Santa Clara, CA. Amsterdam, during this phase, and performance, consisted of vocalist/guitarist Ronnie Borchert, bassist Joe Lofaro, guitarist Chad Foster, and drummer Dave Thompson. The other bands on the bill were World's Apart and Dirty Hairy, with Slam Nancy closing the show.
