AVERAGE WHITE BAND - 07/07/2007 - Summerfest - San Jose, CA

Scottish funksters Average White Band opened the show for a returning Sly & The Family Stone, during the "Back In The Day" Summerfest at Arena Green Park in San Jose, CA on Sat. July 7, 2007. During this performance, the band consisted of bassist / lead vocalist Alan Gorrie, guitarist / keyboardist / lead vocalist Klyde Jones, guitarist / vocalist Onnie McIntyre, saxophonist / keyboardist / vocalist Fred Vigdor, and drummer Brian Dunne. Gorrie and McIntyre, as of now, are the only remaining original members. Although much of the festival itself was questionably run, AVB put on a great show of their own, reminding attendees of how many hits the band has had since their inception in 1971.
