- Babylon A.D. (formerly The Persuaders) became known as being the first hard rock band signed by Arista Records. They had a minor hit with "Bang Go The Bells," as well as the song "The Kid Goes Wild" on the "Robocop" soundtrack. After a breakup in the 1990s, the band has reformed in the mid-2000s and is going strong. They headlined the Niles Station Reunion show at the Saddlerack in Fremont, CA on Sunday, September 28, 2008. The band consisted of vocalist Derek Davis, bassist Eric Pacheco, drummer James "Jamey" Pacheco, and guitarists Ron Freschi and Danny De La Rosa.
