- Blue Oyster Cult performing at Day On The Green on Wed. July 4, 1980 at the Oakland Stadium in Oakland, CA. The band played alongside other big name hard rock acts as Sammy Hagar, REO Speedwagon, Triumph, and Randy Hansen. The band at this point consisted of vocalist / guitarist Eric Bloom, guitarist / vocalist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser, keyboardist / guitarist Alan Lanier, bassist Joe Bouchard, and drummer / guitarist Albert Bouchard. They performed their act of all five members in front of the stage, all playing guitars, culminating in Eric and Donald rubbing their guitar necks across each other for screeching effect.
