Blue Oyster Cult - December 31, 1979 - Cow Palace - San Francisco, CA

Blue Oyster Cult headlining the New Year's Eve show on December 31, 1979 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, CA. The band, in their classic format, consisted of guitarist/vocalist Eric Bloom, lead guitarist/vocalist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser, keyboardist Allen Lanier, bassist Joe Bouchard, and drummer Albert Bouchard. Opening the show was SF Bay Area favorites Gamma, and SVT.

These photos were taken with a Kodak 110 Instamatic camera (while obviously standing quite close). Being a tall photographer helped. Some of the details have been sharpened slightly with Photoshop to bring out minor details. More important than the professionality of the pictures themselves is the composition.
