Buzzcocks - 07/27/2006 - Mezzanine - San Francicso,CA
Punk rock's strangely quirky, fun representatives, the Buzzcocks performing at the Mezzanine in San Francisco, CA on July 27, 2006. They were touring for their latest CD release, "Flat-Pack Philosophy." At 30 years and still going strong, Buzzcocks performed their energetic set with genuine pop sensibilities with plenty of aggression, while still having a great time. Seeing the Buzzcocks really proved that punk rock can never die - and apparently can't grow old either. Age didn't seem to slow the band down at all. The band at this point consisted of vocalist/guitarist Pete Shelley, guitarist/vocalist Steve Diggle, bassist Tony Barber, and drummer Danny Farrant. Opening the show was The Strays, which featured Danny Farrant sitting in on a number or two.
