Coheed & Cambria performing at the Download Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mt. View, CA on September 30, 2006. The band consisted of vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez and guitarist Travis Stever, along with Matt Williams on bass and Mark "MP" Mortinsen (ex- Samiam) on drums who replaced the demparted bassist Michael Todd, and drummer Josh Eppard. At the time of this show no information was given regarding the previous band members' departure.

Their performance was excellent on the second stage, and the crowd was unbelievable appreciative of the band. What stuck out most was the amount of female fans who seem to adore this band. Coheed & Cambria reminds us that the days of self-gloryfication and looks are long gone as this band has die-hard fans from across the spectrum. Musically, they bring music back to a place where it actually means something and isn't just filler material for 3 minutes on a radio signal.
