- Far Cry was one of the more underrated, but quintessential S.F. Bay Area bands of the 1980s. Starting as a more progressive-veined "intelligent" rock, they later went for a more straight-forward rock sound. This particular show was billed as their last performance (although they did have a reunion show one year later), with local favorites TYR supporting. By the time the band was performing live at this time, founder-member Jon Simon had switched from bass to second guitar. This show was on Friday, October 28, 1988, at The Stone in San Francisco, CA. The band consisted of Larry Fisher (aka J. Lawrence) on vocals, Robert Heynen (aka Jon Simon) on guitar / keyboards / backing vocals, Mark Grey on guitar, Adam Boynton on drums, and newer member Kevin Otero on bass.
