- Irish-based Celtic punk rockers Flogging Molly performing at the Live105 BFD on Sat. June 7, 2008 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mt. View, CA. The band here consisted of vocalist / guitarist Dave King (of Fastway and Katmandu fame), guitarist Dennis Casey, bassist Nathen Maxwell, drummer George Schwindt, mandolin / banjo player Bob Schmidt, accordion / concertina player Matt Hensley, and Bridget Regan on fiddle, tin whistle, and uillean pipes. Although the name might not lead to any real idea of what the band sounds like, it takes seeing them to really get it. This band really put on the efforts and got the crowd jumping with its heavy Irish influence and punk aggression, and all about a good time. To note: The bassist had two fractured fingers on his picking hand, which he uses furiously, and he still played the gig.
