- Genitorturers performing at the Maritime Hall in San Francisco, CA on June 24, 1999. The band's core members are vocalist Mistress Gen, bassist "Evil D" David Vincent, and guitarist Bizz. This was the tour for "Sin City," which focused on the ideas of religion and repression. Mistress Gen, as always, looked her most ravishing best as she teased and tortured both the cast of players onstage, as well as the audience.
In the photos below, Mistress Gen is dressed in various costumes - as an evil ringmaster (ringmistress), a German inquisitionist, and tantalizing dominatrix. As well, a male cast member with a rather holy resemblance, is attached to a cross while lead weights - lifted by balloons - are pierced through his abdomen skin. Following this, he jumps up and down as the balloons are popped, dropping the weights with force. Later in the show, a girl is hung by her pierced nipples. None of this in an act in the sense of illusion. These are all real happenings onstage to emphasize the control we have over our own bodies, pain, and endurance.
