- After a very short time together in the late 1970 / early 1980s, The Germs got back together in 2005. Originally it was just for the film project, "What We Do Is Secret," but the band opted to continue. Long gone are the late singer Darby Crash, now replaced with the actor who portrayed him (Shane West of TV's "E.R." and "Buffy The Vampire Slayer."). The band here consisted of vocalist (and actor) Shane Wreck (Shane West), guitarist Pat Smear (Georg Ruthenberg, who went on to play with Nirvana and Foo Fighters), bassist Lorna Doom, and drummer Don Bolles, as they performed on Fri. August 15, 2008 on the Warped Tour at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mt. View, CA. For what they do, this was a most entertaining performance.
