- One of S.F. Bay Area's premiere, and longest-lasting blues-based punk rock bands, Jetboy made a name for themselves in the S.F. music scene back in the early 1980s, before getting signed to a major label - which essentially softened them up. After a several-year hiatus (break-up), the band reformed and has been going strong ever since. The band itself has primarily consisted of vocalist Mikey Finn (Mike Demeter), and guitarists Fernie "Jetboy" Rod (Fernando Rodriguez) and Billy Rowe. Original bassist Todd Crew passed away in the mid-1980s, and was replaced by Sam Yaffa of Hanoi Rocks fame (who became available after that band's own tragedy of losing a member). For the majority of the 1980s and 90s, drums were handled by Ron Tostenson.
