LIMBOMANIACS - 12/16/1990 - The Oasis - San Jose, CA
The unique Limbomaniacs were a Cactus Club staple during the late 1980s. It was a shame that they broke up - having done so even before their CD was released. This particular show was a rare gem, as the band opened for Bootsy Collins & Rubberband at The Oasis in San Jose, on Sun. December 16, 1990. Their brand of funked-up, hip-hop inspired rock was timeless, and their stage performances were classic as well. All the members went on to bigger pastures. The band here consisted of bassist / vocalist Tony "Butthouse" Chaba, guitraist Mark "Mirv" Haggard (later of M.I.R.V. fame), drummer Bryan "Brain" Mantia (later of G'N'R and Primus fame), and keyboardist Pete Scaturro.
