- The first annual Niles Station Reunion show, held on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Saddlerack in Fremont, CA. This show had been long anticipated, and finally came to fruition to the joy of all the old 1980s hair-metal band days of the S.F. Bay Area. Featured were some of the old heavyweights as Babylon A.D. (formerly The Persuaders), Flame, Mad Anthony, Heist, along with a host of lesser-known acts such as the Hormones, a Ramones tribute act fronted by Rhonda of Art & Rhonda fame. A few bands, and assorted former members, didn't make it... a few technical issues... and add some blown speakers, and one could wonder what happened, but all in all this was one fun night of reminiscing, rekindling friendships, and hoping that some of these talents might get back together to do it all again. As was hinted at the show, it might all be possible if it happens again next year.

- By the way, someone in the crowd pointed out an irony of the show. We were all gathered together to see 1980s hard rock bands... with a go-go dancer in a cage... at a country bar... that played New Wave hits between sets. There was just something strange about that mixture.
