Canadian rockers Triumph joined in the American holiday celebration as the performed on Wed. July 4, 1980 at Day On The Green at the Oakland Stadium in Oakland, CA. The band consisted of guitarist / vocalist Rik Emmett, drummer / vocalist Gil Moore, and bassist Mike Levine. The band was at the top of their game at this time and quite fun to watch and photograph. The other bands on the bill were Sammy Hagar, Blue Oyster Cult, REO Speedwagon, and Randy Hansen.
