- The 2004 San Diego Comic Con International had its biggest turnout ever this year (2004). It was the first convention appearance of "Buffy" Sarah Michelle Gellar, along with Eliza Dushku ("Buffy," "Tru Calling," "Bring It On," "Wrong Turn"), of course that may or may not top 2003's appearance of California Governor (most known for being the Terminator) Arnold Schwarzenegger, but that's personal opinion.

- After years of shooting primarily bands, Phil had gone back to doing model / fashion photography. He began promoting some of his models last year by bringing Christin Noel. This year he brought a bevy of beauties along, including Christin. It appeared that many knew Phil from seeing him around at the Comic Con, but apparently no one knew what he did (sometimes including himself). So a sudden surge of interest began following Phil and the models around as quite a few new fans clamored to meet the girls. Amongst the more popular spectacles at the Comic Con are Tony Swatton's Sword & Stone booth where models dress up in armor to walk around the convention floor. Sword & Stone is the company that provides most of the costuming and/or weaponry to such blockbuster films as "Gladiator," "Master & Commander," "Pirates Of The Carribbean," and others.

- Another popular visit at the Con was actor Sid Haig, who had just appeared in Rob Zombie's disturbing 70's styled horror film epic "House Of 1,000 Corpses," and it's sequel. Sid signed autographs and met fans throughout the convention, and also posed with the girls.

- That aside, we of course had to partake in our usual mischief and revelry. On the way home, we stopped by a friend's house that is practically a shrine to Betty Boop. Bill and Winnie maintain a collection of just about anything Betty Boop related, and are still collecting. (If you know of anything offered or for sale, contact Phil.) And with that... here are the photos.
